Daniel Parks

Daniel Parks is a conductor, educator, and tenor based in Boulder, CO. He is a graduate teaching assistant and doctoral student in choral conducting at the University of Colorado Boulder where he conducts the Collegiate Chorale and Madrigal Singers. He also serves as Associate Artistic Director of the Longmont Chorale, and he was recently named a conducting fellow for the Wisconsin Conducting Symposium hosted by professional chamber choir Madison Choral Project and Artistic Director Albert Pinsonneault. 

Daniel has taught choral music, voice, and music theater at the middle and high schools levels in Wisconsin. Students of his were regularly accepted to the Wisconsin All-State Choirs and received the highest rating at the Wisconsin School Music Association State Solo & Ensemble Festival in voice and music theater. As a professional ensemble singer, Daniel has performed with the Boulder Chorale, Minnesota Chorale, Border CrosSing, and Weimar Bach Cantata Academy. 

Daniel completed a Masters degree in choral conducting at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and a Bachelor of Music degree in music education at Lawrence University. His research interests include comprehensive musicianship through performance (CMP), vocal improvisation, and early music. He studied conducting with Kathy Romey, Matthew Mehaffey, Emily Threinen, Richard Bjella, and Paul Nesheim. 

Daniel loves making music with friends and family, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and exploring the mountain trails around Boulder. ​
