Krista Costin
Mezzo-Soprano Krista Costin has been featured as a soloist and ensemble member with various ensembles such as Oratory, Consortium Carissimi, MN Bach Ensemble, The Singers, MN Chorale, House of Hope Motet Choir, Mount Olive Bach Tage, Oregon Bach Festival, TRANSEPT - a new, Sioux Falls based ensemble, and various Bachakademies in Stuttgart and Weimar, Germany under the direction of Helmuth Rilling. Passionate about collaborating on new works, she won first place by audience choice at the 1st annual Minneapolis SongSlam at Icehouse in January 2018, performing a new art song written for her by composer, Tim Takach, How to Triumph Like a Girl. 2018-2019 season highlights include alto solo engagements with Minneapolis-based Consortium Carissimi (Bach BWV 147), Exultate (Bach B Minor Mass), Oratory (Bach St John Passion with the MN Dance Theatre) and Minnesota Bach Ensemble (Bach BWV 132 and 164), as well as a debut with Mirandola Ensemble and performances with Transept in Sioux Falls. www.kristacostin.com.
